Disclaimer

This page sets out Lumen's boundaries: what we can give you, what we can't, and the part you take on yourself when you use this site. The wording looks formal, but it's all here so you know where you stand — so you don't assume someone has your back in a place where you're actually on your own.

Remember this one line first This site is information only. It is not investment advice and does not make decisions for you. Crypto is extremely high-risk and can cause you to lose your entire principal. The gains, losses and consequences of any action are yours alone.

1. Who we are, and who we're not

Lumen is an independently operated third-party information website, with no affiliation, agency, official partnership or support relationship with Binance or any other exchange, wallet or project. We are not the sign-up portal for any platform, and we are not their customer support. Anyone claiming to be "Lumen official support" or a "Lumen private channel" and using that to ask you for money or information is an impostor — ignore them and stay alert.

2. Not investment, financial or legal advice

All content on this site — articles, charts, tools, checklists, glossary entries and so on — is for educational and informational reference only, and does not constitute, and should not be taken as:

  • Investment advice or an offer to buy, sell or hold any crypto asset;
  • Financial planning or wealth-management advice tailored to your personal situation;
  • Any legal, tax or compliance opinion.

We don't know your income, debts, risk tolerance or local laws. For specific investment, tax or legal questions, please consult a licensed professional.

3. The risks of crypto assets

Be clear on these facts before you act:

  • Prices are extremely volatile. Crypto can swing sharply in a short time, with no price limits, and your principal can be lost entirely.
  • Many actions are irreversible. Once a transfer, withdrawal or contract approval is confirmed it usually can't be undone; losses from the wrong network, a mistyped address or a bad approval often can't be recovered.
  • Leverage and futures amplify losses. Under high leverage, a small adverse move can trigger forced liquidation and take your principal to zero.
  • "Stablecoins" can lose their peg, and small coins can go to zero. No crypto asset is absolutely safe or capital-protected.
  • Platform and regulatory risk. Exchanges can suffer outages, be hacked, halt services or be affected by regulation; the legal treatment of crypto varies widely between countries, and some places may restrict or ban related activity.

4. Affiliate (referral) link disclosure

In the spirit of transparency, we state it plainly: this site contains affiliate (referral) links. When you use them to reach an exchange and then sign up and trade, we may receive a referral fee from that exchange.

  • That referral fee is paid by the exchange and adds nothing to your cost — the fees you pay don't go up because you went through our link.
  • Referral fees are how this site stays running, but they do not affect the objectivity of our content: we still state the risks and promise no returns.
  • Whether you sign up through our links is entirely your choice; you can equally go to an exchange's official site directly.

For how we operate on referral fees and the boundaries we've set, see the about page.

5. Accuracy and timeliness of content

We do our best to verify every fact, but we don't guarantee that all content is completely accurate, complete or current at every moment. Crypto rules, fees, products and regulations all change, and specific figures, steps or screenshots in an article may go out of date. Always rely on the official information published at the time by the exchange, wallet or regulator. When we find an error, we correct it publicly on the corrections page.

6. Third-party platforms and links

This site may link to third-party websites such as exchanges, wallets and tools. Those platforms are independently run by their respective operators, and we take no responsibility for their services, security, availability or any actions they take toward you. Your relationship with a third-party platform is governed by that party's terms and policies — read and judge them yourself.

7. Your own risk and limitation of liability

Any decision or action you take based on this site's content is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lumen is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) this site, or from acting on its content.

8. Updates to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site means you understand and accept the current version.

One last honest word We built this site hoping you'll fall into fewer traps and not get scammed. But "fewer traps" isn't "guaranteed profit." What really protects you is using only money you can afford to lose, staying wary of anything promising "sure profit," and not touching what you don't understand. That matters more than any technique.
